WHO ARE WE?!

We are a collective of creative women in the Devon & Cornwall area.
Coming from a variety of creative careers and hobbies, the WCC is a welcoming space for like-minded women to come together to support, share, inspire, connect and create!

From self employed, to small business owners & creative hobbyists.
From Photographers, Artists, Brand Designers, Musicians, Costume Designers to Poison Plant Experts.
We are a diverse group of talented women!

This is a new venture and I am finding my feet with what people would like to gain from this Collective.
In 2019 I became Self Employed after the company I worked for, British Ceramic Tile, went into Administration. Since then I have spent the majority of my days working from home (other than travelling to clients, suppliers, trade shows etc!).
Whilst I do love working from the comfort and peace of my own home office, I can sometimes go weeks or months without true interaction with other creatives. As someone who is self motivated, loves to be organised and to be busy with creative projects, working from home came very naturally to me.
But I also know that many self employed people can find it quite isolating. Not having other creatives to bounce things off, the understanding and support that only comes from others in similar positions, and the tips, tricks and advice of lessons learnt along the way.

WCC is a welcoming space for creative women from Devon and Cornwall, to come together to connect, support, and inspire, through relaxed meet ups, workshops & talks and creative events, where you get to create in a non-pressure environment!

I would like it to be a space that women in business find beneficial, informative and supportive.
 

MEET UPS
 

A relaxed environment to connect, share and support with like-minded women. These will start as quarterly, and expand if there is a demand for this.

WORKSHOPS & TALKS
 

These could be held by someone in the group, or by bringing in someone external who has a particular skill set and knowledge that maybe helpful to the members. This could include Marketing, Social Media or

Accounting and Making Tax Digital advice.

These will likely be evening or weekend events.
